Startup Guide
We have shown a filter box below for demonstration purposes only. No matter which filter box comes with your tank, follow these instructions. When you purchase your tank you will receive 3 filter media. You must load them in the following order to work properly.
- Charcoal Bag (rinse bag well prior to use)
- Carbon Foam Pad
- Blue White Filter Material – cut to 1 inch larger than black pad, use three and store extra pads in an airtight container for future use. As the blue white filter material gets saturated with scales, remove it one layer at a time and this should last all day. The blue white filter material is reusable. Simply submerge the pads in lake water and rinse well, ensuring that scales and debris have been washed away.
